Bodh Gaya – the place where the Blessed One attained enlightenment – is the spiritual heart of humanity. Every step a Buddhist takes upon arriving here feels like returning to one’s parents, returning to the very source of awakening.
Sacred as it is, the current surroundings of the Mahabodhi Temple remain impoverished: the area is crowded with residents, polluted in environment, and lacking proper security. Temples around are scattered, unplanned, struggling to sustain themselves. Pilgrims are forced to rent hotels or small monastery rooms.
In truth, Bodh Gaya should be a solemn and pure spiritual center, a place where Buddhists arrive and never wish to leave. It should be a place with:
Majestic and dignified monasteries.
International Buddhist universities cultivating morality and wisdom.
Proper infrastructure: clean roads, highways, serene landscapes stretching from the airport to the sacred center.
A master plan covering thousands of hectares – not just the mere 3 hectares that exist today.

If every Buddhist worldwide contributes just 100 Votes = 1 USD per month, we will generate an immense and steady financial resource capable of funding the transformation of Bodh Gaya into a true Global Buddhist Sacred Center.
With these resources, we can not only build temples but also support local communities, construct highways, and create a world-class sacred zone. Together with the Government of India and the state of Bihar, we can build a Bodh Gaya worthy of its historical and spiritual stature.
